3500 spectators gathered for the first run of the Snow Queen race

The first women’s slalom run of the Audi FIS World Ski Cup “Snow Queen Trophy” 2023 in Sljeme gathered 3,500 spectators who supported the world’s best slalom skiers at the finish line, in the stands and along the track. Spectators continue to arrive for the second run, which will start at 4:30 p.m., especially to cheer on our skier Leona Popović.

 

Best time in the first run of the women’s slalom race Audi FIS World Ski Cup “Snow Queen Trophy” 2023 was achieved by the world’s leading slalom athlete Mikaela Shiffrin. The American finished the Red Slope in 48.93 seconds, which was 23 hundredths faster than the second-placed Swedish Anna Swenn Larsson. Slovakian Petra Vlhova took the third place, 55 hundredths behind the leader Shiffrin.

 

Two Croatian representatives also took part in the race. Leona Popović qualified for the second run with 10th place (50.80 seconds), while Zrinka Ljutić did not finish the first run.
